Acting headshot photography is far different than your regular portrait photography, and professional headshot photography. The art of making a headshot for a actor is a task in itself. It is not about making an actor look good, which is the next job after the fact you make them look themselves. The biggest mistake many actors and photographers make is that they make the actor look different than what they look naturally, in-person, and when the acting agent rejects them, it is mostly on the fact their photographs looked different than their real face in-person. Not only it is a job of a photographer to make an actor look as natural as possible, but, the photographer must know the acting poses, face expression and what type of body shots a casting agents is looking for. Why am I different than most other photographers? I not only emply all that I preach, but, I spent an entire day with the actor going to different locations and having them put different out-fits to relfect theri true personality, plus the role that they are applying for.
